Apostolic Nuncio Visit - May 2009

His Excellency Most Rev. Giuseppe Leanza, Apostolic Nuncio, made an official visit to Saint Mary's to mark the 170th anniversary of Saint Mary's Church. His Excellency graciously accepted the invitation to celebrate Sunday Mass with the parish community. Particular emphasis was placed on the theme of Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. His Excellency then met with many parishioners in the Parish Centre for refreshments. Sr. Peter Daly, Parish Sister, presented the Apostolic Nuncio with a painting by local artist Patsy Reel.
