Easter Ceremonies - April 2009

Pictures below are from Mass of the Lord's Supper in St. Mary's on Holy Thursday Evening. The celebrant was Bishop Smith and pictures are of the Washing of the Feet.

Photos beneath are from the Veneration of the Cross Ceremony on Good Friday presided over by Bishop Smith. At this ceremony, students from St. Patrick's Classical School, St. Joseph's Mercy and St. Michael's Loreto dramatised St. John's account of Passion of the Lord. Many thanks to Richie Ball and the students who worked very hard and enriched our commemoration of the Lord's Passion with their very moving drama.

The following photographs are from the Easter Vigil. We would like to add a word of congratulations to the following who received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist: Christina Geinriha, Iluta Silanagle, Una Silanagle, Samantha Kiernan, Syusan Hlongwane and her son Leonardo who was baptised. Also to Valerie O' Donnell who received the Sacrament of Confirmation and Eucharist.

Last, but not least, many thanks to Fr. Brendan Ludlow and Hannah Clarke for all their work in decorating the Sanctuary for the Easter Ceremonies. Pictured are some of the Altar Servers with the Sacristan Peggy Owens. Also pictured are the Moore Family, whose set of four daughters are also servers.
