Diocesan Adoration Day - May 2008

Last Sunday, people from all over the Diocese came to St. Mary's for a special Celebration in honour of Corpus Christi. The afternoon began with a beautiful Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament after which the Director for Vocations in the Diocese spoke about the Year of Vocation. The Afternoon then continued with the celebration of Mass in honour of the Body and Blood of the Lord.

During this Mass, Bishop Smith blessed two Crosses and Candles which will remain for a time in every parish of the Diocese over the coming year.Their presence in each parish brings with it the challenge for all of us to remember that God is calling each of us to follow him in the way that he has willed for us alone and to pray that in responding to his call to Priesthood, Religious Life, Married Life or Single Life we will find happiness and contentment in doing his will.
