Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock, next Sunday, 8th August: Anointing of the Sick in Basilica at 2.30pm. Mass at 3pm, followed by Blessed Sacrament procession. Parish Catechetical Programme: Parents / guardians of children attending schools not under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath are reminded that if they wish their children to receive the sacraments of First Penance, First Holy Communion and Confirmation, they must enrol their children in the Parish Catechetical Programme. Enrolment can take place during the summer months and the programme will begin in September. Enrolment forms are available from the Parish Office.
There will be no Baptism Course on Wednesday, 4th August and Wednesday, 11th August. The Course returns on Wednesday, 18th August.
Coming into full communion in the Catholic Church: In the Autumn the process of preparation for those wishing to come into full communion in the Catholic Church recommences. The Rite for the Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a period of exploration of the Catholic Faith for adults who may wish to receive the sacraments of Baptism/ First Eucharist/Confirmation. Those who prepare will receive the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil 2011. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Fr. For July and August, weekday Masses take place at 9.15am in St. Oliver’s and 10am in St. Mary’s Church. The 8am daily Mass will recommence in late August.
