“Come and See”
Our Parish was honoured to host last weekend’s Meath Diocesan Eucharistic Congress and we welcomed the many speakers and participants from all parishes in the Diocese and beyond.
It is hoped that the Eucharistic Congress Bell will return to our Parish at some point in 2012 to allow all parishioners and school children to mark a special moment in the preparations for the International Eucharistic Congress.
St. Mary's Parish, together with the Meath Diocesan Eucharistic Congress Committee, thank all who helped to make "Come and See" such a positive and hope-filled gathering of the diocesan community: the members of St. Mary's Parish Pastoral Council; the many volunteers from our Parish and other parts of the Diocese; St. Mary's Parish staff, the sacristans, the caretakers and the Parish Shop staff; the various choirs, organists, musicians and singers; St. Mary's collectors, stewards and altar servers; all who contributed items to the 1932 memorabilia exhibition; Province 5 TV; Meath County Library for the loan of display units; Mike McGrane Electrical for assistance with bunting; Enda Nugent for the loan of equipment & Navan Town Council for facilitating free parking over the weekend. The photographs, texts and video appear courtesy of the Diocese of Meath website (www.dioceseofmeath.ie).
